Amanda Wheeling, Recreation Director, Instructor

Amanda Wheeling began her dance education at Dance Productions under Lori Long, Angie Bright and Sabrina Perrell. She joined the inaugural mini competition team at the age of 5, and her love of dance has continued to grow.

After graduating from Dance Productions, Miss Amanda's exceptional dance education gave her the skills and confidence to audition for an NBA dance team, and she danced with the Charlotte Bobcats (now Charlotte Hornets) for two years.  During this time, the dance team was voted the number one dance team in the NBA.

Miss Amanda graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. During her time away from the studio, she became the catering and events manager at a prestigious country club. Miss Amanda brought her love for event planning back to the studio. She currently manages the Dance Productions~Remix recreational program and related events. She also runs the youngest competition team, the munchkins. Miss Amanda plans many exciting events for our dancers, allowing our dancers and their families to participate in yearly activities, parades, and the excitement leading to our annual recital.

Miss Amanda's experience in management and public relations along with her passion for dance and love of children are why the Dance Productions #theRemix Future Stars program, challenger levels and mini performance dancers, are a joy for the dancers and their families.

Miss Amanda met her husband Alan during her time as an NBA dancer.  They have two children, Emmitt and Charleston and a sweet puppy, Rafiki.
